Transportation Site Manager

BOS Security is recruiting for a site lead for our team of dedicated men and women securing the Nation's airports.

This candidate must have experience managing personnel in a security or law enforcement role, preferably at the federal level. TSA experience is valued most highly.

Responsibilities:

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project (or similar commercially available software) to set a program/project baseline, measure progress against it, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in an effective, efficient, and professional manner.
• Ensure all operations are conducted efficiently and correctly
• Ensure that training and mentorship is taking place in order to increase levels of engagement and accountability
• Ensure that officers have completed annual proficiency reviews
• Document and track officer performances and monitor any officers who have or need training
• Ensure that shift briefs are conducted daily and that any information is passed down accordingly
• Communicate daily with management with any concerns or operational needs  
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Formal certification in program/project management issued by the Federal Government (such as FAC-PM, DAWIA, or U.S. DHS) or certification issued by a non-government organization like the PMP® credential issued by the Project Management Institute; or
• At least 5 years of management experience in aviation security, airport operations, or personnel security services (demonstrated experience in supervising personnel in a Federal government environment is highly desired).
• At least 7 years of general management experience or 3 years as a certified Supervisory TSO (STSO) or higher position.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for initial employment
• United States citizen
• Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Pass an extensive pre-employment testing to include a computerized test, drug and medical screening, a background investigation to include a criminal check/fingerprinting and a credit check
• Hours for this position vary, must be available to work irregular hours, weekends and holidays
• Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 70 pounds
• Strong communication skills; Must be proficient in English (e.g., reading, writing, speaking, and listening)
• Maintain focus and awareness and work within a stressful environment
• Make effective decisions in both crisis and routine situations
